Every feature of the face plays a vital role when it comes to your overall appearance. Certain features, like your eyes, nose, and lips, are focal points that stand out. Other features of the face are subtle and serve a more complementary role.

Rejuvenating Your Appearance with a Brow Lift
The causes of a sagging brow are nearly impossible to avoid. The issue is primarily caused by the natural effects of aging. Over time, the skin loses it strength and elasticity and naturally begins to sag. The brow muscles also become strained and worn out due to repeated use over the years, exacerbating the issue.
The severity of these issues also varies from person to person. Some people may suffer from premature aging and develop severe folds and wrinkles early on. Others may retain a relatively youthful appearance well into their later years.
The brow lift focuses on addressing the source of the aesthetic issues on the face. There are two common approaches to a brow lift. Each option is capable of producing natural-looking results.
- Coronal brow lift – The coronal brow lift is performed by making an incision from ear to ear along the crown of the head. The incision will usually be about six centimeters behind the hairline in order to avoid leaving a noticeable post-surgical mark. Excess skin is trimmed away and the remaining skin is lifted so that the brow has a smooth, tight, and youthful appearance.
- Temporal brow lift – The temporal technique involves the creation of an incision at the hairline by the temples. This incision is usually about 5 to 8 cm long. Once it has been made, excess skin is carefully excised from the region.
- Endoscopic brow lift – This less invasive option requires smaller incisions than the coronal brow lift. Three to five small incisions will be made along the hairline. The endoscope is inserted to offer a detailed view of the tissues on a nearby monitor. Tissues are lifted and tightened, excess tissue is removed, and the incisions are closed with sutures.
Recovering from Your Brow Lift
It is recommended that you take at least one week off from work after your brow lift to give your body time to properly heal. This will also help to ensure quality results. Cold compresses and medication can provide relief from discomfort while you heal. You will need to avoid exercise and any other strenuous activities for a period of around two weeks.
